Georgia on my mind...

I risk sounding pretentious... but, one of the few things I can't live without is coffee. Afterall, caffeine is mildly addictive. There are a few instances in the day where I get that grainy tingle at the back of my tongue and I know I have to have one! However, very few coffee actually hits that spot. :(

Fishy
Fish are such boring pets. You can't pat them, hug them, they don't fetch anything. Never really appreciated them until I took these photos. They're so fun to photograph. Faces, body movements are rarely ever the same.
Fish is also my new nickname from Eds aunty because her husband says I always stick my lips out when I'm concerntrating. -_-'
Alot of out of focus shots because I had to keep focusing in and out as the fish darted around the tank! Probably should have tried automatic focus...

Experiments
I don't know why is it that I think I can pick up a piece of equipment and think I can just feel around in the dark and eventually know how to use it. I just can't stand reading manuals I suppose. That kind of attitude might work for simple tools but definitely not a camaera.
No manual yet though. I finally got around to reading Jodie Coston's free online photography course. Baby steps.
So now, I know the basics of working the manual settings of my camera, I won't have any trouble with grain and motion blur. (hopefully)
Some before and afters
So grainy and bad lighting tooand lots of photoshop

Much smootheronly resized image and colour balance for the blue
:D
Composition is still pretty bad hehe
Got my macro filter this morning! Going to try it out today.
The F717 is not a dSLR so can only play with filters for now, which I'm fine with until I get more familiar with photography :)

Stupid report D:
Last item of procrastination for today~ Have to finish research report that's due tomorrow D:
This is our 5 (or so) year old banana tree that has finally decided to grow some bananas this year. My mum is ecstatic. It's actually in reverse order. The bottom photo was taken a week earlier than the top.
